There had been not a soul capable of earning Loki’s affections, or keeping his attention. Although many Asgardian’s had attempted to claim the god’s heart over the years, nothing warmed him. The jealously that had stemmed from his youth kept him isolated; his mind had built an un-mountable fortress preventing anyone growing close to him. He knew how cruel love could be; the rejection from his father still stung bitterly, even as an adult. It had shaped his outlook as a man; his instants told him not to invest faith in anyone. Nevertheless, his heart longed for somebody to hold him when his mind veered down dark, lonely roads such as this. He craved a love to consume every atom of his being. He prayed for something to feed the hunger that lingered in his chest.
